Hello, my name is Clio!

I create jewelry through a fascinating process called electroforming – or eforming.
This alchemy of art and science allows copper to grow atom by atom around the organic structures I sculpt. Stones, bones, fragments of nature, and carefully modeled forms are immersed in an electroforming bath for 12 to 30 hours, where copper slowly crystallizes over them. The result is always unexpected, organic, and one of a kind – no two pieces can ever be exactly the same.
Once the copper has taken shape, I bring it to life with patinas that reveal antique shades, iridescent colors, or deep mysterious tones. Each jewel is then polished, protected, and sealed, to preserve the beauty of its finish while letting copper’s natural character shine through.
Working with copper is like working with time itself. This noble, ancient metal – cherished by Egyptians and Greeks – evolves, breathes, and carries a story within it. My creations celebrate that raw, living beauty: imperfect, mystical, and forever unique.

Who I am
Hello!
My name is Clio – but you can also call me Khumeia. I’m a 37-year-old little forest witch who spends her days turning nature and odd fragments into jewelry, I live in Aix-en-Provence in the South of France.
I chose the name Khumeia because it refers to the ancient root shared by both chemistry and alchemy – the art of transformation, which is exactly what inspires my work. Every jewel I make is a mix of craft, magic, and a touch of the unexpected.
